ContextEastway Bikes was developed as a cycling brand offering a range of road, cyclocross, track and commuter bicycles for riders seeking strong performance and value.
But cycling is about more than equipment or getting from A to B. For many riders, its appeal lies in personal achievement: going further, riding harder, discovering new places and experiencing the simple enjoyment of being on a bike.
This provided an opportunity to create a more emotionally engaging consumer brand—one built around the motivations of the rider rather than purely the technical specification of the product.

ChallengeThe cycling market is highly competitive, with brands frequently differentiating themselves through technical specifications, performance claims, racing heritage and product design.
Eastway needed a clearer idea that could distinguish the brand while remaining relevant to riders with different levels of experience and ambition.
Rather than positioning cycling purely around competition and winning, the opportunity was to celebrate personal progress—the continual challenge to yourself to ride further, push harder and discover what you are capable of.
The challenge was to translate that insight into a compelling brand proposition and distinctive identity capable of working across products, retail, advertising and digital communications.

SolutionAeron began with a rigorous competitor and comparator audit, exploring the cycling landscape and identifying opportunities for Eastway to occupy a more distinctive position.
These insights informed a new brand strategy and positioning, centred on the proposition:
For the More in You
The idea captured Eastway's ambition to inspire and motivate riders to get more from themselves and their cycling—whether that meant riding further, tackling a harder route or simply experiencing somewhere new.
Aeron translated the proposition into a direct and motivational verbal identity and tone of voice, supported by a differentiated visual identity system designed to bring energy and consistency to the brand.
The system was then developed across a comprehensive communications suite spanning advertising, point-of-sale, retail communications and digital applications, creating a coherent expression of Eastway across the customer journey.

ResultThe engagement provided Eastway with a clear strategic platform and distinctive visual and verbal identity built around a motivating consumer proposition.
For the More in You gave the brand an idea that could extend beyond individual products and specifications, connecting Eastway with the personal motivations and experiences that make cycling meaningful to its riders.
The resulting brand system provided a consistent foundation for implementation across advertising, retail, point-of-sale and digital channels, helping Eastway communicate as a more distinctive and emotionally engaging cycling brand.
