ContextGrand Mills was established in 1978 to help support the UAE's food security ambitions and later became part of Agthia Group.
Originally operating across both flour and animal feed, the business had built a strong reputation for quality, reliability and value across the UAE and wider Middle East.
When the feed business was separated and reinvented as Agrivita, Grand Mills had an opportunity to redefine its own role and sharpen its focus around flour, food innovation and customer service.

ChallengeThe existing Grand Mills brand reflected a broader business spanning both flour and feed. Following the creation of Agrivita, the organisation needed a clearer proposition and more focused identity capable of supporting the flour business independently.
The challenge was to retain the equity and recognition associated with the Grand Mills name while creating a more contemporary and commercially relevant brand.
This also required greater clarity across the product portfolio, pricing and customer proposition, together with a visual system capable of working consistently across packaging, marketing, sales and physical brand environments.

SolutionWorking closely with Agthia, Aeron developed a refreshed brand strategy, positioning and identity for Grand Mills.
The work simplified the name to Grand Mills and created the proposition “Beyond Flour”, expressing an ambition to move beyond being seen simply as a commodity flour producer towards a more service-led, innovative and customer-focused food business.
Aeron also rationalised the product portfolio and clarified price positioning, helping create a more coherent offer across customer segments.
The strategic work was then translated into a refreshed visual identity system, supported by new corporate applications, product and packaging design, brand environments and practical tools for marketing and sales teams.
Together, these elements created a more focused and scalable brand platform designed to support the business across multiple customer and commercial touchpoints.

ResultThe refreshed Grand Mills brand launched in February 2014 at an event attended by approximately 500 industry professionals and customers.
The engagement gave the business a clearer proposition, simplified portfolio and more coherent visual identity, helping Grand Mills present itself as a more focused and specialised food business.
The work also established a broader brand platform spanning packaging, environments and communications, creating a foundation for continued brand development and supporting Aeron's ongoing relationship with Agthia.
