ContextAl Ain Water is one of the UAE's leading bottled water brands and part of Agthia Group.
Building on our wider work with the Al Ain portfolio, Agthia identified an opportunity to extend the brand into a new beverage category through the development of Al Ain Fresh.
Moving from bottled water into juice represented an opportunity to leverage existing Al Ain brand recognition while creating a proposition capable of competing within a different and highly established FMCG category.

ChallengeExtending an established brand into a new category requires a careful balance between recognition and differentiation.
Al Ain Fresh needed to benefit from the familiarity and trust associated with Al Ain while establishing its own distinctive presence within the juice category.
The packaging therefore needed to communicate freshness and product appeal quickly at the point of purchase, while creating sufficient differentiation between variants and maintaining a coherent relationship with the wider Al Ain brand portfolio.

SolutionWorking closely with Agthia, Aeron developed the Al Ain Fresh concept through a programme of market, category, competitor and consumer research.
These insights informed the development of the brand proposition, naming hierarchy, packaging concepts, PET bottle design and label architecture, creating a coherent identity for the new range.
Particular attention was given to balancing the visual equity of the established Al Ain brand with the distinctive category cues required for juice. The resulting packaging system created clear recognition across the range while allowing individual products and flavours to communicate with impact on shelf.
The design was developed as a scalable system capable of supporting future variants and range extensions as the Al Ain Fresh portfolio evolved.

ResultAl Ain Fresh was successfully launched into the UAE market, extending the Al Ain brand beyond bottled water and into the juice category.
The new range created a distinctive presence while retaining a clear connection to the Al Ain masterbrand, providing Agthia with a flexible platform for further product and portfolio development.
The project formed part of Aeron's wider relationship with Agthia, supporting the continued evolution of the Al Ain portfolio through brand strategy, innovation and packaging design.
